The Locke & Wallace Marital Adjustment Test (MAT) measures marital/”committed*” relationship satisfaction, which is realized when partners feel satisfied in the relationship and with each other, develop common interests and activities, and feel that the relationship is fulfilling their expectations (Locke, 1951).
