I am dedicated to helping you recognize your strengths, harness your innate power, and to create the life, relationship, and career that feels congruent. I create a safe, supportive space for you to investigate who you are and what you want, as well as to develop the strategies needed to dismantle your beliefs that are keeping you stuck. No matter what you are struggling with, long-lasting, positive change is possible.

What to Expect in Treatment

Consultation: Before you visit my practice, you and I will have a free, 20-minute phone call during which you can share your issues and therapy goals. Together, we will make sure that I am the right therapist for you and that I can help you with what you’re struggling with at this time.

First Session: We get right to work on the pressing issue that brought you to therapy in the first place. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, including the specific challenges you are facing. My goal is to give you, by the time our session is over, a new sense of relief, whether that is relief about your relationship, relief from your distressing symptoms, or relief from the feeling overwhelm that has been hanging over you.

Continuing Sessions: During our second session, we will collaborate to identify your goals and develop a plan to help you get where you want to go. All subsequent sessions, we will focus on our treatment goals and address any other challenges, concerns, or pressing issues that may have come up or seem newly significant since our last session together. My therapy sessions are as unique as the individual or couple seeking help.

If you agree, I may suggest that you read a relevant book or to keep a journal to document your thought and feelings. I believe it is essential to stay engaged outside of sessions and work toward integrating what you are learning about yourself into your daily life. Individuals or couples seeking therapy who are willing to work toward self-change and create greater awareness in their relationships and lives get the most out of the therapy process.

Do You Accept Insurance?

I am not an “In-Network” provider on any insurance company panels and therefore am considered an “Out-of-Network” provider by all medical/mental health insurance companies. If you have insurance, you will pay me after each session, and then, at the end of the month, I will give you a bill (superbill) to submit for reimbursement.

Your insurance company may reimburse you for only a portion of the therapy session, and since every insurance policy is different, I recommend that you contact your insurance company directly to have your mental health coverage/ benefits clearly explained. Also, many insurance companies do not reimburse for couple’s counseling, so please check with your carrier.

How Long Are Sessions?

Each session is 55-minutes in length. Couples may choose to have 1-1/2 hour sessions.

When Do You Meet With Clients?

My office hours are from noon until 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday. I offer flexible scheduling depending on each client’s needs. If you need to contact me between sessions, please leave a message on my confidential voice mail (714.783.8500), and I will return your call within 24-hours.

What Is Your Office Like?

My private practice office is located in Yorba Linda, California. My office is peaceful and calm, where clients feel welcomed, comfortable, and at ease.

Do You Offer Online or Phone Therapy Sessions?

Yes. You may choose to meet face-to-face for our first counseling session or add online therapy as a supplementary option between in-office visits. Sometimes you may just need answers, feedback or input before your next appointment is scheduled. Online or phone services often provides the flexibility and freedom you need if faced with a pressing matter.
